I say, there's hardly anything nicer than to spend a weekday off at home. Here's what my Veteran's day has consisted of:
1. wake up at 7:00 am, a little later than usual.
2. read the Bible
3. work on letter-writing
4. eat a slice of Russo's cinnamon loaf and drink vanilla soymilk
5. lavish affection on Kally, our troublesome and adoring 6 month old Maltese puppy by carrying her around on my shoulder
6. Clean and organize all the food in the house since we just got a new LG refrigerator this morning.
7. eat a pancake and whole milk vanilla yogurt with fresh blueberry sauce.
8. return back to bed to lounge in the sunlight. SUNLIGHT. I'm actually able to appreciate the existence of this marvelous light warming my feet through the window panes. I love the warmth of the sun and usually am never able to enjoy it since I'm off to work before the sun's gone around for its morning jog and leaving work when the sun's already set. YAY for the sunshine!
I don't have much to do today, and thank goodness for that. Reading, writing, eating, walking...all that is a perfectly relaxing day. I just have to make it out to Copley library later to return a movie I recently watched. Becoming Jane. It's the dramatized version of Jane Austen's life, and it's not bad - very reminiscent of Pride and Prejudice, so its interesting that the book must have been quite based on characters in her personal life.
I might go out with Kally for a walk today - there's a park by our house. Once I settle on a good digital camera to buy in a couple of weeks, I'll be sure to post pictures of her!
So, library, tea downtown with Louisa, and...dreaded....I think I need to iron a huge pile of clothes. I detest ironing...sigh..takes so much time and effort!
I start work at Crate and Barrel in Harvard Square tomorrow night! :) Come visit.
Which reminds me -
please feel free to recommend a digital camera!
High definition
excellent light capture
affordable (under or around $200)
high zoom capability are my criteria.
cheerio.
